INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT

As part of our Business Services division, you will provide outstanding services to clients across a diverse range of industries. You will be eager to contribute to the growth of the firm by applying your technical excellence to all elements of your role.

About the job:

  • Preparation of Income Tax Returns and Financial Statements for Trusts, Partnerships, Individuals and Companies
  • Preparation of concise workpapers in relation to GST, Super, Income Tax, Related Party Loans, Beneficiary Accounts and Employee Contributions
  • Preparation of Division 7a schedules and understanding of minimum repayment requirements.
  • Liaison with the ATO for various matters such as GIC, penalty remissions etc
  • Calculations regarding Capital Gains Tax
  • Completion of comprehensive and concise workpapers (electronic/paper)
  • Communication with team members to resolve queries and provide support.
  • Tracking of priorities and management of personal workflow.

About you:

  • Experience with MYOB Live and MYOB AE (preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Division 7a
  • Experience with Xero (mandatory)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • EMid or near completion of CA/CPA
  • Completion of Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent) (essential)
  • Willingness to learn and develop
