We are seeking a highly motivated, independent professional to join our risk management team. As part of the risk management team, you will assist the team on the firm’s ethical and risk matters which includes but not limited to business, financial and security.
Roles & Responsibilities
Firmwide New Client Onboarding
- WeCheck and Conflict Check
- Performing of KYC work for new clients and complete AML assessment
- Mitigation and Resolution of any issues identified during AML assessment
- Review of acceptance documents for listed clients and high-risk clients before GIAC approval
Staff Independence
- Annual declaration of independence for staff
- Annual independence testing
- Checking of independence for new joiners
- Gifts and Hospitality Declaration
Advisory
- Ad hoc on matters pertaining to onboarding and continuance, independence, ethics, money laundering
- Filing of STROs
- Reviewing of basic legal documents such as NDA and Client Agreements
- Updating firm’s policies based on regulatory changes and updates to the code
General Compliance
- Annual and regular testing to ensure compliance to firm’s policies
- Preparing information for the reporting to the group and or professional bodies
- Liaising with engagement teams for regulatory inspections from regulatory agencies (e.g. ACRA/ ISCA)
- Preparing and facilitating annual firmwide risk management training on EP 100, ACRA code, EP 200 recent changes
- Firmwide risk monitoring exercise
- Preparing and facilitating annual ethics and independence training
Other ad hoc duties as and may be assigned
- Creating new Artemis profiles for new joiners
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Business or relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an international public accounting firm or bank
- Keen interest in the international development of the risk management profession
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, audit standards and accounting principles
- Possess good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
